Autism Mom

Autism Mom is an online resource for parents who have children with autism. As an autism mom, I write about tips for parenting children with autism and encouraging co-parenting among divorced parents. There are many jobs that have both an emotional and physical impact, but few more than those of the autism mom. These parents spend every day of their lives caring for their child with this neurological disorder. They are fighting for changes to be made in schools and communities to accommodate the special needs of their children. They are caring for them through every crisis and dealing with a society that does not always recognize their challenges or needs.

Autism Awareness Month is a chance for the nation to speak about the condition that affects approximately one out of every 110 children born today. Autism Mom is dedicated to informing the world about this disease and providing resources exclusively for those affected by autism. Dealing with Autism can be a struggle for children, teenagers, and parents. Understanding what’s going on in the world around you can be confusing and even scary. And, it affects more than just children. There are many adults who are living with autism as well, including an estimated 85% of all people with autism are non-verbal.

To raise autism awareness, the Autism Awareness Tumbler is a great fundraising tool for the upcoming walk you are organizing. Autism is a complex neuro-developmental disability that typically appears during the first three years of life and is the result of a neurological disorder that affects the normal functioning of the brain. It is estimated that approximately 1 out of 150 children are on the autism spectrum – a ratio that has increased dramatically in recent years. In this regard, it is useful to educate the public on Autism Awareness starting with designing eye-catching awareness campaigns and collectibles like tumblers which use various motifs like puzzles, hearts, sunflowers, etc.

Final Thought

Autism Awareness Month is a chance for both autism charities and those affected by the condition to share important information about autism, and the people who have it. Lives can be changed, and awareness can be spread if we work together as a community. Autism Awareness Month serves to increase awareness about this pervasive developmental disorder. April is not only the month where we can shine a light on autism but also the month to celebrate those in our lives who are affected by ASD.

A lot of you may be unaware of this, but April is autism awareness month. Autism is a disorder that affects the brain development of children. Although autism presents in many different ways, it can be highly debilitating to those who are afflicted. Many people say it’s all about awareness, which is why this month was created to not only raise awareness but also to raise money for research because the causes of autism aren’t well understood and treatment options are limited.

If you know someone—whether a loved one or a friend—who fits the criteria above, then you can help spread the word. During April we recognize National Autism Awareness Month, so don’t be afraid to let your community know about autism and the steps they can take to help improve the lives of those living with autism.
